Written in pencil on the wood at the back of the upper stretcher are the handwritten words grapes convolvuli and plums constitution crescent gravesend kent charles stuart. It was displayed at the royal scottish academy exhibition in 1868, titled grapes, convolvuli and plums no 594. Date: 1868.
