The work represents jesus christ, at the moment when he was going to be crucified, probably dressed in the shroud and accompanied by two characters, one of them being the executioner who carries the necessary tools for the crucifixion and the other a penitent who observes christ and to whom the latter points his finger, while the cross where jesus would be crucified appears deposited on the ground.
