Korneev ZY, Vladimir Borovikovsky, 1810

Portrait of zakhar yakovlevich karneev artist v. L. Borovikovsky. 1810. During the reign of empress catherine ii, z. Ya. Karneev (1748-1828) was vice-governor in orel, where he founded a masonic lodge. Under paul i, he was appointed governor of minsk and awarded the order of st. John of jerusalem, as well as extensive land holdings in the saratov province. Senator, from 1810 - member of the state council, vice-president of the bible society, privy councilor. In the portrait by vladimir lukich borovikovsky (1757-1825), he is depicted in a court senatorial uniform with a ribbon and star of the order of st. Anna, 1st degree, the order of st. Vladimir, 1st degree, and the order of st. John of jerusalem (maltese cross). In the background is a view of z. Ya. Karneeva zakharyevskoe bogodukhovny district kharkov province. Date: 1810.
