Jeanne Catherine Fulchrande Eglé Mourgue, comtesse Desbassayns de Richemont 01, Zéphirin Belliard, 1855 or after

Portrait of jeanne catherine fulchrande eglé mourgue (1778-1855), wife of philippe panon desbassayns, count of richemont, lithographed by zéphyrin belliard after a portrait painted by paulin guérin. Paulin guérin painted two portraits of eglé mourgue, according to her will of december 26, 1851: the first when she was 25 years old, therefore around 1803 (bequeathed to her son alfred); the second at the age of 52, therefore around 1830 (bequeathed to his son paul). Based on the costume depicted, the painting that served as the basis for the lithograph is most likely the one painted around 1830. Inscription accompanying the lithograph: paulin guérin pinxt (bottom left on the front); imp by auguste bry, 114 r. Du bac, paris (bottom center on the front); zin belliard, del (bottom right) jeanne, catherine, fulchrande, eglé, mourgue, countess desbassayns de richemont. Founder of la rosière de suresnes, died in paris on march 20, 1855, provided with the sacraments of the church (pray for her) (recto). Object Type: print. Date: 1855 or after. Medium: lithograph. Collection: Musée d'histoire urbaine et sociale de Suresnes.
