Daguerreotype of the lagos marmol family of buenos aires, posing in the studio. The process had been brought to argentina by european and north american adventurers in 1843. The photographers used to offer their services in newspaper advertisements, and (due to the high costs) people portrayed were usually ranchers, servicemen, merchants or diplomats. The original photo size was 16,5 x 21,5 cm. Date: circa 1855.
