Johann heinrich müller, 1825-1894: zurich, the "bodmer house" (named after johann jakob bodmer, 1698-1783, to whom it once belonged). The tree in the foreground may have been inspired by the term "bodmer oak" (an oak tree in the forest of fontainebleau, named after the painter karl bodmer, 1809-1893). Watercolour / pen-and-ink drawing, 21 x 30 cm. Date: between 1870 and 1890.
