She holds a large knife or sword in her right hand and the severed head of holofernes in her left, which she is placing into a bag with a tassel at the bottom. His face, hair, and beard are visible. Holding the bag open is another female figure viewed from the front, who receives the head and looks at judith; the two women are possibly in conversation. Date: 19th century.
