The 24 sheet wall map of london; extending from the new river head, to limehouse in the east, walworth in the south, and knightsbridge in the west; an ichnographical plan, with only the trees represented pictorially; decorations include rococo cartouche for the title, supported by reclining nude figures, surmounted by city arms; a dedication to lord mayor and court of aldermen in cartouche with putti symbolising commerce and trade; with decorative border; the 24 sheets together with a plan of the map bound in marbled paper boards with leather spine, the title lettered "rocque plan of london"; after rocque. 1746 etching and engraving.
