"queen kristina orders the killing of monaldeschi. " in april 1656, the italian marquis and courtier gian rinaldo monaldesco (monaldeschi) entered the service of queen kristina and became her chief groom. Queen kristina regarded monaldeschi as her subject. He was convicted and sentenced to death by the queen.
