Portrait of thomas gordon, half-length, slightly turned to the left, dressed in greek uniform buttoned to the neck, an epaulette and aiguillette on his shoulder, a high belt and sash about his waist with two pistols tucked into the embroidered belt and a cartridge box beneath his right arm, a sword at his side, a turban about his head, palm trees and an eastern building beyond, a facsimile of his signature below lithograph.
