dubois in mr spit by a jolie perfumer vaudeville. Character, portrait of an actor, of a theater actor. Stage costume, louis xvi style. Buttoned coat, "pearl gray silk" breeches, speckled "white silk" stockings, shoes with "round silver" buckles, ponytail, cardboard box under his arm with the inscription: "white gloves", he is holding a letter. Face in profile, earring. Historical commentary:
the little dramatic gallery: series of 1636 drawn and engraved plates. Performance of actors in theater costume. Other artists contributed: bodin (card00126) and carle thévenin (card00127). Drawings by bodin were engraved by maleuvre. The numbers written on the drawings correspond to the serial numbers of the engravings. Some designs were reused in théâtre de marion du mersan.
