Hugo Charlemont - Maske eines Silen aus Bronze, bei Cilli (Celje) gefunden, Hugo Charlemont, 1890

Mask of silen (later named bacchus), made of bronze, found in 1883 in a grave of the western necropolis in lava (part of the town of celje). It was part of a very large bronze pot. The original is kept in the history of art museum in vienna. Book illustration, woodcut, 7. 1 x 10. 8 cm (khmw, inv. No. Ansa vi 2937). Date: 1890.
