This illustration accompanied a story of a young boy, jacques de caumont, who survives the persecution of the huguenots in france in the 16th century. He appears on the right peeking out upon a scene in which he discovers the murder of his elder brother. Illustration for a story by sabine baring-gould in once a week magazine, volume 6, page 614. Date: 24 May 1862.
