Half-length, in front of the cabinet in which he kept his portrait collection. In the left hand an oval portrait, with the right hand pointing to a drawing or print. Not a self-portrait as previously thought, but a copy of the portrait by lubienitzki from 1725, now in the pushkin museum in moscow. Part of a collection of portraits of dutch poets.
