The house of ruwiel - etching by jacob schijnvoet (1673-1744); the castle was located in ruwiel, northwest of the town of breukelen. Schijnvoet has made more etchings of castles from this area. When schijnvoet made this etching (ca. 1720), ruwiel castle was already ruined (1673). Schijnvoet probably made it based on other images of the castle.
