In the center, a man with the head of a canary, a music box around his neck, dressed like a gavroche with cap and scarf around his neck, laughs and with a gesture threatens to slap another character with the head of a blackbird and dressed very poorly who turns his face towards him. On the left, an even poorer man bends down to pick up rubbish scattered on the road with a stick and which he will no doubt put in the basket he carries on his back. He is represented with a porcine head.
