A 1678 reprint of the 1674 map of paris, printed across 9 (41. 5 x 45 cm) pages. Attributed on the map to the "messrs de l'académie royalle des sciences"; attributed to david du vivier by the 1911 encyclopædia britannica’s "map" article; attributed to françois de vivier by lloyd brown's 1949 the story of maps; attributed to françois de lépine and jean-baptiste bourguignon d'anville by the bn; also françois de la pointe. The eb notes that the map was on a 1:86,400 scale and used "very crude hachures bounding the rivers" in place of the "scenographic hills" previously employed.
