A satire on folly of old women behaving as though they were young showing ia fine room in which a young dancing master, holding the skirt of his coat in one hand and a small violin and bow in the other, demonstrates an elegant gesture to a tall, fashionably dressed elderly woman. Two small girls look on, smiling, one whispers to the other. On the wall behind is a picture of a monkey holding a violin dancing with a cat. Etching and engraving. Date: circa 1768. Dimensions: Height: 367 mm; Width: 258 mm. Medium: paper. Collection: British Museum.
