Deer/snake marble sculpture in the mausoleum for karl ernst osthaus (1874–1921) in the garden of his art nouveau villa hohenhof in hagen, stirnband 10. The open tomb structure, with a skylight inside and four wall reliefs, in the middle with a base on which a dying stag with a snake (death) flickering on the ground made of white and blue marble, was created in 1922 by the sculptor johannes ilmari-auerbach.
