My beloved mother! the post has brought me some more greetings from you. Your letter of february 14th came, a packet of cigarettes and newspapers. I thank you very much for everything. The pretty dirndl with the alpine greetings is particularly charming. You asked if we have something to gnaw on in our “mole holes” and yes, they are fine. You also want to know what we did in the finnish tent. We lived in it for 14 days and were supposed to do a little something, but then that fell through. Date: 25 February 1943.
