In the picture, barabás captured one of the most outstanding moments of the feverish days in march, when jókai petőfi and vasvári hand out the first product of the free press, the "national anthem", to the crowds thronging in the rain in front of the landerer and heckenast printing house. The inscription at the bottom of the picture by the artist: 1848. Mart. On the 15th, at the dawn of the awakening, the already free people stormed the printing press with noise and in the pouring rain scattered the first product of the free press: petőfi's "talpra magyar". Mór jókai comes out of the printing press, seeing the sea of umbrellas, and says to the respected fellow citizens: "this valiant revolutionary people is afraid of a little rain for their hats, coats, and even their skin!" at this, the thousands of umbrellas close and a large crowd of respected fellow citizens gets soaked to the skin with closed umbrellas in the pouring rain. Date: 1848.
