Meindert hobbema was a painter working in amsterdam in the late 17th century. "le moulin à eau" depicts a water mill on the singraven estate, located in overijissel (a province of the netherlands)-- a site hobbema represented several times. Felix augustin milius--the etcher of this print--was a 19th-century painter, engraver, and illustrator born in marseilles. Date: c. 1884/1903.
