A sinking ship., Valdemar Andersen, 1910s

The vessel has a close resemblance to the titanic, but there were other similar four funnelled liners. The painting was one of five made for the danish insurance company hafnia, the first in denmark to market life insurance. All five depicted accidents where insurance might offer some relief.
