Decauville railway at the civet-pommier quarry near saint-maximin (oise). Félix civet founded the civet company in 1853, which later became known as "civet-pommier" after léon pommier merged with léon civet (félix's son) in 1883. The civet-pommier group became rocamat in 1971. At the beginning of the 20th century, civet-pommier operated numerous quarries in france and employed up to two thousand workers in saint-maximin, saint-vaast-lès-mello, rousseloy and laigneville, among others.
