Nave vault, frescoes and decorations. 1862, cycle depicting episodes from the old and new testament:
in the five panels of the vault of the central nave, the sacrifice of abel, noah's ark, the meeting of abraham with the prefiguration of christ, the offerings of melchizedek, the punishment of qarah, dathan and abiram the priests who contested moses and aaron's civil and religious authority over the chosen people, and for this reason they were swallowed up with their families by the earth and consumed by fire, and finally the transport of the ark into the temple of jerusalem;
right transept arm: the destruction of the temple of jerusalem or the end of the ancient cult;
left transept arm: the delivery of the keys of the kingdom to the apostle peter, called to continue christ's mission;
in the vault of the presbytery the founding moment of the new cult: the institution of the eucharist with the depiction inspired by leonardo da vinci's last supper.
