Monument fontaine Havin Saint Lo

Saint-lô, department of manche, on a postcard from the end of the 19th or the beginning of the 20th century. The fountain monument to léonor-joseph havin made by arthur le duc inaugurated in 1888. Also called the press guides childhood to the source of truth. The bust of léonor-joseph havin and the bronze ornaments were unbolted and melted down under the vichy regime, as part of the mobilization of non-ferrous metals. What remained of the monument was almost completely destroyed by the bombings of 1944. Date: fin du 19e ou du début du 20e siècle.
