Door and windows are fitted with grills; above the door, inscription: "poste / de l'infirmerie". Historical commentary:
study for the painting exhibited at the salon of the society of french artists of 1889, nº 2348. The former establishment of the vincentians, transformed into a prison in 1793, became, after the terror and until 1896, a reformatory for young girls; until 1935 it was used as a prison and women's hospital.
