Juan de flandes conceives the space of this crucifixion with a low point of view, which evokes the compositions of mantegna and gives it italian resonances, due to the way the characters are arranged with a mastery of straight lines that give monumentality to the whole. To draw attention to christ crucified, located in the center, against a landscape background, he devises a semicircle of figures around him.
