The virgin of the immaculate conception; the crowned virgin stands on a crescent moon within a mandorla, under which the dragon representing satan lies vanquished; above, a representation of the trinity; in the left foreground, various flowers including lilies, to right, a rosebush; the virgin is surrounded by symbols of the lauretanian litany, including david's tower, an enclosed garden, a fountain, a palm tree and a closed gate.
