Detail of watercolor done by elias martin around the year 1785, showing the finnish galley squadron of the armén fleet off vaxholm. Here we see a salssloop belonging to the army fleet, which is propelled by 5 pairs of oars and 10 men, with a helmsman in the stern and a gast with a grappling hook in the bow. The watercolor is named at the bottom as "weu af waxholm och finska galär esqadern" and signed with "signerad e martin pinxit. No 13". The watercolor belonged to crown prince gustaf adolf and crown princess margareta. Date: 1 January 1785.
