Tin-glazed earthenware tile, transfer printed in black, of actress and dancer mary bulkley (1747/8-1792) as angelina in love's labour's lost, 1777-1780. Tile made in liverpool. She was born mary wilford; her two married names were bulkley and barrisford. She was known professionally as mrs bulkley. Her biography is here. Date: between 1777 and 1780.
