imitation of the map of amsterdam by cornelis anthonisz. From 1544. Probably engraved by d. J. Sluyter. Scale approx. 1:16,000. The card was included in: adriaan pauw. A contribution to the church and commercial history of the sixteenth century, written by h. J. Koenen and published by d. Groebe in 1842 in amsterdam (see saa, library: 15030/45250). On the right is an explanation of the figures, running from 1. St. Olofs chapel and gate to 30. Nieuwe gracht. These numbers appear in the map image. A proof print (possibly also a later print) of the map is kept in the amsterdam city archives with an identical image of the map (see saa: 10035/210). Orientation: west-southwest above.
