cf. Hoffbauer and a. Bonnardot: paris through the ages, paris, 1875-1882, 2nd issue, texts by a. Bonnardot, lithograph by ph. Benoist, pl. V, reed. Sand and tchou, paris, 1982, t. 1, p. 83-154. Before the construction of avenue victoria in 1852, these were the streets including saint-jacques-de-la-boucherie which joined the halls district. The fountain was moved in 1858, the year the bridge was demolished. A victory which crowns it is kept at the carnavalet museum, the building where the veau qui tête restaurant was located disappeared in 1855.
