The 1603 celestial globe by willem blau is said to have been created based on the observation records of the second east indies expedition brought back to the netherlands in 1602 by frederic de houtman, and is depicted in a realistic manner, showing dorado as a dolphinfish and piscis volucris as a flying fish. Date: 1 January 1603.
