this plate would belong to the album of thomas shotter boys composed of 25 plates and entitled "picturesque architecture in paris, ghent, antwerp, rouen, etc. ", published in 1839 and printed by charles joseph hullmandel. The little red door, undoubtedly created by pierre de montreuil between 1250 and 1270, must have been reserved for canons.
