It is a bird's eye view of haarlem as seen from the north. On the left is the spaarne river and on the right of the road to haarlem is the dolhuys complex, where willem janszoon verwer was regent and wrote his diary. Clearly visible to the left of the dolhuys is the gallows. Date: 1628.
