Portrait of sir charles napier, full-length, slightly turned to the right, gesturing to the right and leaning on his drawn sword, dressed in working clothes of a short jacket and pantaloons, a top hat upon his head and a black stock about his neck, a sword belt about his waist, the gun port and rail of a ship behind with a cannon, rigging to the left and a ship in sail beyond, all partly obscured by smoke lithograph.
