Museum director bengt bengtsson (left) from kulturen i lund shows one of the exhibited nordenberg paintings to governor thure andersson and his wife astrid. It was said about the blekinge artist bengt nordenberg that he died at the age of 80 in oblivion in 1902, but on saturday he was brought out of oblivion in his birthplace of olofström at the opening of the largest solo exhibition of his work ever arranged. From museums and private individuals, close to a hundred of his works have been collected in the southern hall of the swedish steel pressing stock company, county governor thure andersson officiated the opening and dr bengt bengtsson from kulturen in lund gave what he modestly called "supplementary marginal notes" building, among other things, on the collection of letters that nordenberg donated to kulturen. But in addition, nordenberg was presented in a distinguished memoir, in which the artist himself participates in memory notes from his childhood years in blekinge and autobiographical sections that are now being published in their entirety for the first time. Date: 11 November 1967.
