Portrait of the family of johann rudolf stettler (1696-1757), governor of saanen in 1737, member of the small council in 1749, and venner in 1756. The picture was painted around 1755. The stettler family is depicted in the salon of the stettler house (later bondeli house) on münzrain in bern. From left to right: colonel stettler of zofingen; mrs. Porta, formerly the widow of wyttenbach, née stettler; mr. Stettler, since then treasurer; mrs. Morell, née stettler; samuel stettler, since then conductor in the interlaken house; mrs. Stettler, née wyttenbach; mr. Stettler of reitenau; mr. Stettler, since then venner; mrs. Steiger of münsingen, née stettler; mr. Morell, clerk of wangen; mrs. Stettler, née herbort, mr.
