Lithograph of the lutheran theologian and preacher at st. Martin's church in braunschweig heinrich julius ludwig assmann (1766–1839), probably created in the late 1830s by the engraver august dankworth after a painting by johann heinrich engelbert neumann, printed in the lithographic institute of august wehrt in braunschweig. The sheet measuring 556 x 434 mm (here a detail) can be found in the portrait collection of the duke august library in wolfenbüttel. The image measuring approximately 340 x 290 mm shows the clergyman in half-length to the right in his robe, with a mill wheel collar and a biretta in front of a barely indicated background. Below the image is a facsimile autograph with the words "the lord is strong in the weak! heinrich julius ludwig assmann preacher at st. Martin's church in braunschweig. ". Date: circa 1839.
