New street station and st martin in the bull ring church are above the town hall. St philip's cathedral (at the time, st philip's church) above the square tower of the council house. Saint chad's cathedral can be seen in the background in the top-left corner of the image. The gabled roof of mason science college occupies the lower left corner.
