description:
table screen forming brush rest. Obverse: in relief, zhongkui carried above the waves by a rolling cloud. It is flanked by two ribboned auspicious emblems. In the sky: bands of clouds superimposed on the right, constellation in the center and phoenix in flight on the left. Sides: lobed elements in a brace with contours highlighted by a blue band and decorated in their center with two flowers. Reverse: upper part, in the center inside a circle, carp jumping above the waves. The circle is flanked by two stylized clouds on either side. The lower part in the shape of a quadrangular box pierced in the upper part with three holes forms a brush rest. It is painted with a scholar sheltered by a tree contemplating a body of water.
