Depicted are the gold turk's cap (lilium hansonii), the foam cicada (philaenus spumarius), the woolly poodle (acronicta leporina), the currant geometer (semiothisa wauaria) carin grabowksi states that the depiction was composed by dorothea maria merian (as dorothea maria graff called herself at the time) with aesthetic aspects in mind. She would have followed her mother's instructions exactly, but worked in her own style in the painterly design. Date: circa 1705-1717.
