The text in the top right is a description of the city in latin, the first part of which roughly means this: "dear readers, in this map of the city of moscow, you see four parted sections, or four fortifications of walls: of which the innermost is called kitaygorod, which is the city, thereby closely lies the fort, or palace, of closed walls, which is called kremlenagrad[. . ]" below that there's a list of places marked with numbers on the map. The first one is the church of the holy trinity, with a brief description of the palm sunday ritual. In the top left you see the shield ("escutcheon") from the great coat of arms of the russian empire. Date: 1662.
