inscription concerning the title - on the montage, at the bottom center, handwritten inscription in pencil: "old houses located on the banks of the seine, between the ponts au change and notre-dame, replaced by the quai aux fleurs"

This series of houses inhabited by tanners formed, on the side opposite the seine, one of the rows from the rue de la pelleterie, on the left, we see, at right angles, two arches of the notre-dame bridge.
