Sainte-marie-madeleine (mary of magdala) in ecstasy, oil on canvas by rubens, preserved by the palais des beaux-arts of lille (gift from the state to the city of lille made in 1803 among a batch of 46 works which are added to the lille collection today preserved by the palais des beaux-arts of lille). Note: an [18th century copy inspired by this painting], made by isidore-ernest-joseph bonnier de layens (born in lille on december 8, 1792 and died in paris on august 20, 1877), french painter who was also curator of the palais des beaux-arts de lille from 1828 to 1842 is preserved at the sainte-marie-madeleine church in lille.
