after the death of charles iv the fair, philippe de valois, grandson of philippe iii the bold, was appointed regent by the states general in 1328. Jeanne d'évreux, widow of charles iv, gave birth to a daughter and philippe was proclaimed king of france. Object Type: painting. Date: between 1455 and 1460.
