Satire on the french (no. 1): a grinning man with a long queue and a muff hanging from his shoulder is standings holding a pair of shears and wooden box that serves as a stool; under his left arm is a struggling dog; behind him hangs a sign with three fleur-de-lis, lettered, "la vengeance de crotteur royal tond des chiens proprement". 25 april 1771 etching with hand-colouring.
