Illustration by poul steffensen from the danish novel gjøngehøvdingen by carit etlar which takes place during and after the dano-swedish war in 1657-1658. The curate oluf tange helps captain manheimer, a german mercenary hired by swedish army, to escape from the castle høfdingsgaard with an improvised sheet rope. But when the captain is halfway the curate stops and call for the gønger so that they can shoot the captain. As they does so they fulfil the prophecy of kulsoen; that the captain would neither die at land or in the water. Date: Original illustration from the 1890s, here reprint from 1909..
