Illustration by poul steffensen from the danish novel gjøngehøvdingen by carit etlar which takes place during and after the dano-swedish war in 1657-1658. The lady-in-waiting, julie parsberg, and svend poulsen, gøngehøvdingen, meets in the garden of jungshoved castle. Svend poulsen and julie parsberg has been in love but a few days before he saw her together with captain kai lykke. Now svend poulsen wants to what is going on fearing that he hasn't done enough to be worthy of her love. Svend poulsen (app. 1610 - app. 1679) was a real person but the story is fiction.
